History of the Company
The company was first founded in 1974 in Macamic. It was then known Equipement Hydraulique Boreal. A few years later, the company stayed in Macamic, but moved to her present location.
From the beginning, the company manufactured and repaired cylinders as well as metal parts and equipment of all kinds as it still does today.
With the intention of answering its needs and those of the forest industry, Tembec acquired the company in the 1990s. She set up an engineering department there to develop a prototype squaring head. In addition to manufacturing and repairing cylinders and metal parts and equipment, the company also commercialized forestry equipment, including the squaring head.
In 2004, the company was sold to DMC Soudure. The name of the company was first changed to Les Entreprises DM and finally named DMC Soudure division DM in 2013. During this period, the company’s vocation has not changed.
Finally, in 2016, Radiateur JMT acquired the company in order not only to continue its operations, but also to set up its heat exchanger manufacturing and repair plant. As a result of this acquisition, the company’s name was changed to Les Ateliers Boreal, JMT Radiator division.
